Nancy graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Recreation Studies and is a Competition Development certified coach in the sport of speed skating. Nancy has represented Canada in long and short track speed skating (winning a Bronze Medal at World Championships) and has been a Speed Skating Canada technical representative and a coach at multiple Canada Winter Games between 1999 and 2011, as well as being a support team member at Junior Worlds in 2009 in Poland. Nancy has been the heart and soul of the Kelowna Speed Skating Club, where she has spent her career building and maintaining the strong and successful club culture. In her spare time, Nancy continues to keep busy with cross country and alpine skiing, mountain biking, soccer, and hockey.
