Chris is currently the Champion of the Environment for the City of Kelowna where he leads the City’s climate action and environmental protection initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and is completing his Master in Resource Management (with a Planning Specialization) from Simon Fraser University. Prior to his work in municipal government, Chris spent seven years as an Environmental Consultant for Associated Engineering. Chris grew up playing minor hockey in West Kelowna and spent four years with the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League, where he was part of the 2004 Memorial Cup championship team and captained the team in 2006/2007. Chris was a two-time All-Canadian athlete during his time captaining the University of Waterloo’s Men’s Varsity Hockey Team. He also represented Canada at the 2011 World University Games in Erzurum, Turkey.
